SKETCH MACHINE
Students in this intermediate/advanced class will create original comedy sketches, jokes and monologues using Satire and Parody to skewer current events.
8 week session + Performance
3 hrs/week, Saturdays 12-3pm

Tuition: $275
Each student will:
- Write material in the style of SNL, Monty Python, The Onion
- Sharpen their creative tools
- Develop stage-ready, web-ready material
- Discover and define their POV
- Learn how to “fix” their sketches
- Expand their portfolio
- Learn in a supportive environment
Culminates in a staged reading of writer’s favorite sketches.

Please note: Students must bring a pen or pencil, notebook or laptop to each class. Students must cover the cost of printing and copying their own material.
ALL-PLAY: CHARACTER TYPES!
In this Character edition of ALL-PLAY improv, students will use improvisation, scene work and games to explore various character types (The Nerd, The Vamp, The Neurotic, etc). Students will also craft an original monologue to perform as their favorite character.
6 week session + Performance
3 hrs/week, Mondays 4-7pm

Each student will:
- Create multiple comedic characters
- Explore many different character types vocally, physically & emotionally
- Discover & master their own “type”
- Explore playing “against type”
- Learn the art of collaboration, monologue writing & rewriting
- Develop web-ready, stage-ready characters.
- Create in a supportive environment
Culminates in 1 performance. An excellent showcase opportunity for actors and actor-writers.
No prior experience required.
